This app is very easy to use, i like the concept. But you cant customise anything, there is almost no control over the charts, just a few basic settings. Thats not enough. Hopefully, they will improve that, and add custom indicators. I also want to have the ability to choose many different brokers, i dont use the brokers that are available. Oanda would be great. There is a lot of room for improvement, so i am waiting for another update!
I am running Mac OS 10.11.1.I I upgraded the Trade Interceptor to the latest version and it stops working. When I tried to login, it stopped at ‘Searching for available server’ and keep giving me the error ‘No servers available at this time. please try again later.’ However, the Trade Inteceptor on my other mobile devices (on the same network) connect just fine. I want to downgrade it back to the previous version.
This is a great tool for reading the markets, placing trades and juggling between multiple brokers as it lets you switch between them in tabs (same goes for different currency pairs etc.). Comes well-endowed with indicators and capabilities to let users better read the market. What needs improvement though is the fact that the tool bar’s Yahoo! Stocks button is broken and so is the option to customize the tool bar and remove buttons (like the broken Yahoo! Stocks button..). Instructions on how to use various parts of the program would also be nice - it gives you nothing. For instance, these pictures show it on a dark theme whereas mine is on a white theme - I’d like to change it if possible but still have discovered how to do that alongside other small things that take time getting used to (like finding everything and the little nuances the program comes with). This program also comes with a mobile phone version that syncs well and works equally as well. While I haven’t used Ninjatrader, after seeing videos of TI I wanted to try it and have not been veered away yet! Keep up the good work TI, with a little bit of improvement your app will be only get better! -Thanks.
The latest app update has had an issue with server connection. Within an hour upon my request they send me a temporary version of the app with the server connection fixed. Looking forward to next updates!
With the update now at least the settings of the indicators remain saved. Suggest implementations to do, some essential: 1) that the indicators can be set according to the time frame in such a way that we can have a specific indicator only on the time frame selected for the indicator and not all together, example: EMA 21 only on TF DAILY and EMA 150 only on TF H1 and STOCHASTIC only on TF H4, etc .... Otherwise there is an overlap of indicators that create disorder; MT4 teaches. 2) absolutely to have (absurd missing) the pointer ruler to measure from a candle to the other: NUMBER OF CANDLES, LV PRICE / QUOTATION and PIP !!! 3) instead of having a switch between BID and ASK (inconvenient thing), would be more comfortable to have the possibility of being able to have visible the line of ASK price together with the BID. 4) to implement more than 10 the number of currencies that can be inserted on the timeline at the top. 5) uncomfortable every time to look for in the middle of the tool lists the object and tool to use: Fibonacci and highlighters for example. It would be more appropriate to add favorite tools directly in the tool bar at the top. 6) it would be good to set the entry of a trade directly from the graph. I hope that my reports are taken into consideration. Anyway great job, beauty application potentially the number one choice for Mac users.
This is exactly what I had been waiting for. Amazing app!
This site looks pretty nice judging from the app store preview. But alas, I will likely never know. Nor will others I imagine. Upon opening this app, I was greeted by the old sign up or login screen. Okay…I guess. However, upon viewing the sign up fields, I noticed that a valid mobile phone number is required so that the people running this app can "SMS my account activation code” to me. Why not email the activation code , as is more typical? What possible legitimate reason could a stock charting app have that would require me to enter my phone number? Maybe just marketing? Great, because that is what everybody wants, telemarketing calls on their cell phone. And, sadly, this would be the best case scenario. In an age where the theft of information and identity are common worries, the more information that a person is required to provide, the more uncomfortable and wary they should be. Now, as nervous as it makes me giving out my email address, and as reluctant as I may feel to do so, I have come to accept that this is often a required exchange to take advantage of certain services and information offered online. So be it. But, I absolutely, will not give out my phone number just to check out some app that may or not be worth a darn. If the folks in charge of this app have any sense, they will remove, at least, the phone number requirement. Hopefully, then, this negative review can be buried among many positive reviews. Until then, good luck harvesting phone numbers from an increasingly skeptical and savvy public.
It used to work fine now it hangs on my MacPro. Ugg! I was told by support to wait for the update. IT STILL HANGS!!!
Thank You for Great Platform! Im really enjoying the layout. Helps reduce the confusion with your on screen bar - buy / sell / take profit / stop loss bars.. Love how they can be adjusted so easily. Keep it coming! *BTW - To all the Neg feedback below… may have been some bugs in the past but it has been working like a Dream for me and on more than one Mac. One old, one new model and no real problems for months now.
I paid 220 USD to learn the lesson, this app is buggy and you can’t use the One Click Trade. Because One Click trade is on the right side on this version. You can’t move it to left and it blocks the view from trade. Their support team was another joke, so was thinkmarkets’s support team.
Trade Interceptor is updated on a regular basis, but it still does not fix the basic problem in Traders Gym where during open trades the P/L does not update correctly. Instead it shows P/L as zero, when clearly pips are lost or gained. It is inconsistent and works on some of the major pairs, but does not work on even some of the standard cross-currency pairs as EURCAD or EURJPY. Until then, this app should not be considered functional, and will lead to frustration.
Trader Gym doesnt work again. I have updated to 3.5.8 and it still doesnt record the S/L and much more. Any idea when it will get fixed? 5 star app if it works! :(
Gym Dont work Check ittttttttttttttttttttttt
THIS IS A GREAT APP! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

Trade Interceptor is a simple but solid FOREX trading tool. I highly recommend it for Mac-based traders that aren’t happy with the tools provided by their broker. Order entry is simple and relatively fast. Managing stops and profit taking is a matter of drag-and-drop. There is a news aggragator and event calendar both of which I consult regularly. Chart layout within each “tab” is simple and, while not customizable, every layout that I ever wanted has been in their collection. There are some features that are missing, however, that would be nice in future versions. A parial list: 1) Graphical display of big/ask for “current price.” Currently you have to use a combobox to switch between bid, ask and average prices. This makes sense for determining how to display the candles but it would be nice to see the “current price” like depicted as a range rather than a single line. Other tools, for example, display the current price as a solid line with the bid and ask as dashed lines. 2) Customizable hot keys…especially for order entry. 3) Better drawing tools. Customized text, for example, seems to require you to add a generic “Text” placeholder then right click, pick properties and click in a textbox to enter the text. Several of the tools are quite awkward in similar ways. 4) Some UI tune-ups: 4a) The concept of having one settings bar that affects the “currently selected chart” (highlighted in red) is awkward. It would be better to having settings tools in each chart. 4b) Similarly, having to select the chart you want to draw in /before/ picking a drawing tool is awkward. 4c) The “measurment” tool is modal. I’d like to be able to quickly make a measurement and have the results persist (optionally). See other tools like TradeStation or NinjaTrader for examples. Again, an excellent tool from what seems to be a top-notch development team.
